By awarding the certificate to students, the fourth summer school “Academy Andrić” was finished, which was organized by the Department of Literature and the Department of Oriental Sciences of the Andrić Institute. This year’s summer school, with the theme “Ivo Andric in our time”, was attended by 41 students from the universities of Republic of Srpska and the Republic of Serbia
For the past five days, the participants of the school had the opportunity to listen to lectures by eminent professors who dealt with different aspects of Ivo Andric, his character and literary work, and to participate in the discussions and to exchange experiences. The lecturers were: prof. Dr. Aleksandra Vraneš, prof. Dr. Jovan Delić, prof. Dr. Ljiljana Marković, prof. Prof. Dr. Predrag Petrović, prof. Prof. Aleksandar Jerkov, prof. dr Svetlana Šeatović and prof. Dr. Biljana Dojčinović.
Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Vraneš, Head of the Department of Literature of the Andrić Institute, held a workshop where students had the opportunity to learn the basics of proofreading and correction and academic writing techniques, to get acquainted with bibliographic citation styles and to get acquainted with the personal Andrić fund in digital form.
During the summer school, to the students were at the disposal the Andrić Institute’s Library, as a place where they could deepen their research and spend time between lectures. Through an organized visit to cultural institutions in Višegrad, the students visited the Bridge on the Drina, the classroom of Ivo Andrić and the City Gallery.
