Today in Andrićgrad was held meeting of the Committee and the colleegium of the Andrić Institute, chaired by the president of the board Matija Bećković.
Emir Kusturica, the director of the Andrić Institute said to Srna that the Committee meeting was held a few days before the ceremony of setting and unveiling a monument of one of the greatest Serbian poets, Montenegrin ruler Peter II Petrović Njegoš in Andrićgrad, which is scheduled for the 29th of November.
He pointed out that at the meeting of the Committee, which was conducted in an exceptional atmosphere, the results of previous work in Andrić Institute were viewed and also plans for the coming year were established.
“I expect flourishing of culture in this area, which the Andrić Institute will definitely give a special impetus,” said Kusturica.
The Andrić Institute was opened on Vidovdan (St. Vitus Day), June 28th, exactly two years after the start of construction of Andrićgrad, in the presence of senior officials from Republic of Srpska, and representatives of the political, cultural and public life of Republic of Srpska and Serbia, the clergy, the diplomatic corps in BiH and citizens.
