Научни скуп под називом „Актуелна питања српског правописа“ одржан је 13. октобра у Андрићевом институту. Организатори овог скупа који је окупио еминентне лингвисте и професоре универзитета су Матица српска, Одбор за стандардизацију српског језика и Одјељење за српски језик Андрићевог института.

Руководилац Одјељења за српски језик Андрићевог института Милош Ковачевић рекао је да идеја овог научног скупа није мијењање правописа, већ указивање на проблеме ове веома важне теме, јер је правопис, по његовим ријечима, једна од централних тема новије историје српског књижевног језика. Ковачевић је напоменуо да је научни скуп који је одржан у Андрићграду од огромног значаја, јер је последњи научни скуп о правопису, тачније о прилозима Правопису српскога језика, одржан прије 30 година.

У оквиру научног скупа, чија је идеја била да окупи представнике свих катедри за српски језик, говорио је и једини живи аутор Правописа српскога језика и замјеник предсједника Матице српске Мато Пижурица.

Прије свог излагања, Пижурица је рекао:

„Имам част да присутне поздравим у име Матице српске и њеног председника Драгана Станића. Матица српска је својим деловањем у области лингвистике доказала да има разумевања за језичко и национално, што је неодвојиво, и својим деловањем на том пољу постала је директно везана за правопис, али и један је од стубова отпора српском националном разбаштињењу. Оно што је важно рећи поводом овог скупа јесте и то да правопис није само стручно, већ и културолошко питање и наглашавам да једна од функција нашег данашњег окупљања јесте и озбиљна припрема за важне и конкретне измене појединих елемената правописа.“

У име Одбора за стандардизацију српског језика као једног од организатора скупа „Актуелна питања српског правописа“, присутнима се обратио и предсједник Одбора Срето Танасић. Он је рекао да Одбор за стандардизацију српског језика обједињује све институције које се баве српским језиком. Нагласио је да је улога институције чији је предсједник да води непрестану борбу за усавршавање српског језика, а да је управо овај скуп у Андрићевом институту један од њених значајних резултата и покретачка снага будућих ангажовања у области српског језика.

У оквиру научног скупа о правопису српског језика су говорили представници Матице српске, Одбора за стандардизацију српског језика, Одјељења за српски језик Андрићевог института, Филолошког факултета из Београда, Филолошко-уметничког факултета из Крагујевца, Филозофског факултета из Ниша, Филозофског факултета са Пала, Филозофског факултета из Косовске Митровице, Филозофског факултета из Никшића, Филозофског факултета из Новог Сада, дневног листа „Политика“ и издавачке куће „Београдска књига“.[:en]

The conference titled „Current Issues Concerning Serbian Grammar“ was held on October 13th at the Andrić Institute. The organizers of this conference that brought together eminent linguists and university professors are Matica Srpska, the Board for Standardization of the Serbian Language and the Department of Serbian Language of the Andrić Institute.

The head of the Department of Serbian Language of the Andrić Institute, Miloš Kovačević, said that the idea of this conference was not to change grammar but pointing to the problems of this very important topic, because the grammar, in his words, is one of the central themes of the recent history of the Serbian literary language. Kovačević noted that the conference held in Andrićgrad was of great importance because it was the last conference on the grammar, or more precisely about the contributions to the Grammar of the Serbian Language, held 30 years ago.

As a part of the conference, which idea was to gather representatives of all the departments of the Serbian language, spoke Mato Pižurica, the only living author of the Grammar of the Serbian Language and the Deputy President of the Matica Srpska.

Prior to his presentation, Pižurica said:

„I have the honor to greet everyone in the name of Matica Srpska and its president, Dragan Stanić. Matica srpska has proven in her linguistic field that it has understanding for linguistic and national, which is inseparable, and with her actions in this field became directly related to the grammar, but also one of the pillars of resistance to the Serbian national dissolution. What is important to say about this conference is that the grammar is not only an expert but also a cultural issue, and I emphasize that one of the functions of our today’s conference is a serious preparation for important and concrete changes in certain elements of the grammar.“

On behalf of  the Board for Standardization of the Serbian Language as one of the organizers of the conference „Current Issues Concerning Serbian Grammar“, the Board’s Chairman, Sreto Tanasić, addressed the audience. He said that the Board for Standardization of the Serbian Language united all institutions dealing with the Serbian language. He emphasized that the role of the institution, whose president is himself, was to lead a constant struggle for the improvement of the Serbian language, and that this conference in the Andrić institute was one of its significant results and the driving force of future engagements in the field of the Serbian language.

Within the conference on the grammar of the Serbian language has spoken the representatives of Matica Srpska, the Board for Standardization of the Serbian Language, the Department of Serbian Language of the Andrić Institute, the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, the Faculty of Philology and Art from Kragujevac, the Faculty of Philosophy from Niš, the Faculty of Philosophy from Pale, the Philosophical faculty from Kosovska Mitrovica, Faculty of Philosophy from Nikšić, Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, daily newspaper „Politika“ and publishing house „Beogradska knjiga“.
