Minister of Science and Technology, Alen Šeranić, visited the Andrić Institute in Andrićgrad in Višegrad, which has been operating under the auspices of this ministry since 2013. On this occasion, the Minister was immediately acquainted with the work of the Institute and the achieved results of scientific research in the field of literature, Serbian language, history and film.
The topic of the discussion was the plans for further work and the strengthening of cooperation between the Institute and the Ministry of Science and Technology, with the aim of improving scientific and artistic work, as well as retention of young educated people in Republic of Srpska.
The Minister expressed satisfaction with the large number of successfully organized international conferences, seminars and summer schools for students, emphasizing the importance of involving young people in scientific research work, where they have the opportunity to listen and exchange opinions with domestic as well as foreign experts from different fields. He also emphasized that the work of the “Lubarda” Gallery is of great importance and its continuous work nurtures art and cultural life of the region.
The visit ended with an informal walk through Andrićgrad during which the Minister paid attention to the idea and concept of this cultural, scientific, administrative, artistic and tourist complex.
