On the second day of the Book Fair in the hall of the Andrić Institute were promoted the Thematic Proceedings of the Department of Literature. Aleksandra Vraneš, Head of the Department of Literature of the Andrić Institute, in his opening statement gave an overview of the publishing activities of the Department, citing editions “About Serbian Classics”, special editions and “Encounter of Cultures”.
Professor Vraneš thanked for the support of Emir Kusturica, the director of the Andrić Institute, the Institute associates and the general public who recognized the importance of the publication of these editions.
Proceedings that are promoted today are published as a result of scientific conferences and symposia held in the Andrić Institute in the organization of the Department of Literature.
Speaking of the proceedings “The First World War and Literature”, prof. Jovan Delić pointed out the fact that the literature during the First World War, lived with his army, which contributed to the creation of a special type of literature. This literature remained recorded in the “Corfu’s Comics”, whose reprint edition published the Department of Literature of the Andrić Institute.
Anniversary of Branko Ćopić’s birth was marked by the publication of the Proceedings which offers the possibility of a new, re-reading of this poet.
