Within the scientific conference dedicated to Branko Ćopić, tonight at the Gallery of the Andrić Institute in Andrićgrad the Serbian Church Singing Society of Pančevo has been held a concert of sacred music.
Choir Conductor, Vera Carina, says that this is the oldest ensemble of its kind which takes one of the most important places in the musical history of Serbian people and culture.
“In the Andrić Institute we have performed Serbian spiritual program and we believe that we, the representatives of Serbian culture, must, first of all, to elevate Serbian culture, and then the others,” says Carina and adds that the choir has had a lot of guest appearances and competitions different countries.
In tonight’s program the Serbian Church Singing Society of Pančevo sang the works of Kornelije Stanković, Kosta Manojlović, Vlastimir Peričić, Isidor Bajić, Mite Topalovića and the fifth potpourri of Stevan Stojanović Mokranjc.
The Serbian Church Singing Society of Pančevo will participate tomorrow’s liturgy in the church of Saint Prince Lazar in Andrićgrad.
