In the Andrić Institute tonight was held a concert of Serbian choral music to mark the 100th anniversary of the death of a composer Stevan Mokranjac and the hundredth anniversary of the outbreak of the Great War.
Katalin Tasić, conductor and director of the Women’s Choir “Barili” from Požarevac, expressed satisfaction with the performance of the choir and the hospitality of Andrićgrad.
“At the invitation of the Andrić Institute, in Andirćgrad female choir presented itself with excerpt from Liturgy of Sv Jovan Zlatousti and spiritual works of Stevan Mokranjac.
In the second part of the program, female choir welcomed public with the three selected garlands in transcription of Professor Vojislav Ilić, an editor of collected works of Stevan Mokranjac ” said Tasić.
She added that the Women’s Choir “Barili” is impressed with the beauty of Andrićgrad and wants soon to repeat the performance with another program.
The organizer of the concert is Andrićgrad.
